Grant Cooke Sensei founded Chiryoku Kempo Ju Jitsu with this simple statement at the centre of it’s teaching, believing that this symbolises the true focus of Martial Arts CHIRYOKU KEMPO JU JITSU (CKJJR)CKJJR was founded by Grant Cooke Sensei not only to share effective and comprehensive Martial Arts techniques but a new way to train, teach and learn. There are no politics or ego’s in CKJJR, everyone is working towards the same goal – Martial Arts advancement and discovery.

CHIRYOKU KEMPO JU JITSU RENMEI (CKJJR)Ju Jitsu is one of the oldest and most influential Martial Art in Japan, this grappling based style is fused with Kempo in order to utilize precision striking and kicking techniques to create a ‘mixed’ martial art called Kempo Ju Jitsu. Our particular style of Kempo Ju Jitsu is called ‘Chiryoku’ meaning Strength Through Knowledge. CKJJR was created by Grant Cooke Sensei through many years of study and practice in 12 Martial Arts since the age of four and to several countries. CKJJR was founded upon the principle of technique over strength and the utilization of distance and timing over speed. But also the hope of high standard instruction and practice as well as no-politics or ego. The syllabus, although technically comprehensive, is designed to create a complete and competent Martial ARTIST; we are not interested in creating fighters or showmen. Martial artists know more than just techniques; they know history, philosophy, principles, morals and virtues amongst other things. The Chiryoku Kempo Ju Jitsu Renmei is affiliated to the National Governing Body for Ju Jitsu in the UK; the British Ju Jitsu Association GB. This means that our grades are nationally and internationally recognised, our coaches are fully trained, crb checked and insured and we follow the most up to date guidelines etc. OUR TEAMGrant Cooke Sensei is grateful to all the people who teach, assist, administrate and support CKJJR.
